The beta web-site has now been out for over a week, and we have been getting great feedback on it! This is definitely rewarding. With limited advertising to friends and family, we were pleasantly surprised to get a significant number of beta customers sign-ups during the week between Christmas and New Year’s–traditionally a dead time for most companies. We’re now seeing a steady stream of signups daily, and we are working hard to make sure that we can deliver a great experience to these customers. It is interesting to see that a plurality of our initial sign-ups have been Chinese heritage customers, who are wanting to master the language of their parents. We are also getting a fair number of sign-ups from people planning on coming to China in the near future for various reasons, so they want to invest now in some high quality language study.

Finally, we are planning on holding regular free online classes to showcase our teaching talent and curriculum in the coming weeks.  Right now, we think it will probably be around noon Beijing time, which would be about 11 pm EST and 8 pm Pacific.  We are expecting to get attendees from students all over the world for that.  Stay tuned for the exact time and time, and if you have some ideas on potential topics that you’d like to see taught in that forum, let me know.  If you know you want to participate in the free Chinese class, just contact us through our web-site to reserve a spot!
