Course Options
Chinese For Children is a series designed to help English-speaking children ages 10 and older form a solid foundation in Chinese. These courses are focused on helping children to feel competent communicating in Chinese as well as motivating them to further learning.
There are 3 levels to Chinese For Children, intended to be studied in succession:
Children will learn to be comfortable speaking Chinese in a broad range of situations, starting from introducing themselves, talking about their family, sharing about school and hobbies, and ultimately seeing that learning Chinese and about Chinese culture can be easy and fun.
Students with previous background in learning Chinese should take a free Chinese level assessment to determine which Chinese For Children class is appropriate for their level.
Program Details:
- Master Chinese pronunciation and romanization system: pinyin, initials, finals, and tones
- Master over 592 written Chinese characters
- Master over 654 spoken Chinese phrases and words
- Master over 339 commonly used sentence patterns

Course contains 90 hours of instruction. Each class-hour is 50 minutes long.
Classes are in small groups of 4 to 6 students. Minimum enrollment of 4 students required for class.

Terms and Conditions
Class Cancellation: GuavaTalk will make every effort to provide all the courses and services listed above. However, we reserve the right to cancel any class or service listed due to lack of enrollment or circumstances beyond our control. If such a cancellation occurs, you will be notified immediately.
All payments are non-refundable. No pro-rating of any fees or changes can be made due to student cancellations. Payments will be refunded if GuavaTalk must cancel a course or service due to lack of enrollment.
Classes may not be rescheduled. Classes may not be made up for student absences.
Students are expected to come to class on-time and cooperate and show respect to the teacher and other students. Disruptive students may be asked to leave class and dropped from the program.
