What you can say or do after studying this course:

After this class, you'll be able to have basic conversations about daily life. You'll be able to confidently and simply express yourself so you can be understood. Beginner's Chinese is broken up into 4 sections to allow students with some background to start at the appropriate level:

Students with previous background in learning Chinese should take a free Chinese level assessment to determine which Beginner's Chinese level is appropriate for them.

Who should take this course:

Students who have never learned Chinese before or have a very limited foundation and can have very simple conversations in Chinese.

Beginner's Chinese 1: Meet people and ask basic questions

After this class, you'll feel comfortable introducing yourself and meeting people. You'll also be able to simply ask where are places, what are things, what is the time, etc., and you'll also learn study-related terms used for helping you get the most out of class.

Beginner's Chinese 2: Take care of daily necessities
