Mandarin 2.0 is GuavaTalk's unique communicative teaching methodology. It enables Chinese learners to start speaking quickly and learn exactly what they want to learn in a fun, systematic, interactive, and effective way.

How does it work?
48 hours before your class, you or your teacher will suggest for each class a hypothetical dialogue or topic of interest to discuss (e.g., a Chinese business meeting, going to the bank, going on a date, etc.). 24 hours before class, your teacher will send you a short set of new vocabulary words that you will prepare beforehand and use during class.
During class, you and your Chinese teacher will have a dialogue for 25-30 minutes. For beginner students, the dialogue will be limited in length, but along the way, based on the needs of the dialogue, your teacher will introduce new words, expand off of the new words to explain related words, and explain grammar points. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you can during this time! After going through the dialogue or discussion, your teacher will spend 20-25 minutes reviewing and reinforcing the new words and grammar and ensuring mastery.
For beginners, the next class will be structured as more of a teacher-led review of the words and grammar learned during the first class. You will get a chance to systematically reinforce your learning from the first class and even get a chance to reverse roles on the dialogue with the teacher, which further ensures mastery of the topic.
